Zapen was born out of love.
Love for culture, love for food, love for people and love
deep for two countries: Israel and Ethiopia.
We grew up on fascinating stories from Ethiopia, about the people
and on its unique traditions.
Food has always been an integral part of the experience,
And the unique flavors of Ethiopian food became part of it
Inseparable from a young age.
Our vision is to make the healthy Ethiopian food accessible
and palatable to the general public in Israel. We believe that through
Food can create a bridge of culinary, culture and sharing
action between the two countries.
Among the sunny mountains of Ethiopia grows a unique and fascinating coffee – Yargachapa. These coffee beans, which come from the Yergachepa region in the south-west of the country, are well known In their rich aroma and complex taste, which combines floral and fruity aromas with subtle acidity and hints of chocolate. The Zapen company is proud to offer quality Yergachapa coffee, carefully selected and brewed by an artisan.
